From the time I was a boy, drawing Peanuts comic strips and taping them to my refrigerator, I’ve always loved being a creator.

When it comes to creating advertising, my work has won every major award for creativity and effectiveness, and has seeped into pop culture. The best shout out I ever received was when President Bill Clinton was speaking at Cannes and said that my DIRECTV campaign was, “The most hilarious ads I’ve ever seen.” Thank you, Mr. President!

While working on brands such as DIRECTV, Budweiser, BMW, FedEx, Reebok, Snickers, Beautyrest, Galderma, General Mills, Keds and Busch beer—to name a few—I have worn two hats. One, as a writer, striving to always create the most impactful, fresh and memorable work possible. And two, as a leader, mentoring and inspiring creatives do the best work they are capable of.

After my last agency job where I was the Chief Creative Officer of Deutsch NY for five years, I am now freelancing and back to what originally drew me into advertising—being a creator.

Some days, I feel like I did way back, when I was drawing comic strips and taping them to my refrigerator.

And that’s a great feeling.
